D 1. Paris   Air Madagascar flight from Paris. Night on board.

D 2. Antananarivo – Sambava    Arrival in Antananarivo and connecting flight to Sambava. Meet at the airport and stroll around town along the sea front.

D 3, 4, 5 & 6.  Marojejy Park hike   This Mountain is 2133 m at its highest point as being at about only 30 km from the sea. We cross banana trees fields to mountain forest passing through tree ferns and ficus trees….Nights in lodge (gîte).

D 7. Manantenina – Sambava    We should not miss to meet Prophitecus Diadema during the visit, very easy to spot and to watch. We join Sambava after and to the hotel.

D 8 & 9.  Sambava – Daraina - Ankarana    We head to Vohemar with our 4WD. Stroll around this kind of back of beyond and then continue towards Daraina, lemurs spotting place.  A rough track leads us to Ambilobe the next day where we reach good tarred road to Mahamasina, the east gate of Ankarana Park. Night in tents.  

 D 10.  Ankarana Reserve hike    We discover the Tsingy, caves, green lake, ‘perte d’eau’…with a local guide, there are several amazing sites hidden inside this dry forest. 

 D 11.  Ankarana – Joffreville   Visit of ‘Tsingy Rouge’, short walk around the site. We go back to the main road to join Joffreville where our hotel is.

D 12. Montagne d’Ambre National Park   Start the visit of Amber Mountain National Park with a local guide to this luxuriant forest, an amazing vegetation and special fauna. There is a possibility of walking down going back to the hotel.

 D 13. 3 Bays by Indian Ocean    Drive around first and then walk around the bays: Dunes and Pigeon bay. Go on to Orangea following Ramena beach and the sea cliff, the gate to the Indian Ocean is close. Walk to the lighthouse.

 D 14. Diego Suarez – Antananarivo (departure)    Relax in the morning and then transfer to the airport. Fly to Antananarivo and connecting flight to Paris.
