your day to day trip
D 1. Paris Departure from Paris on Air Madagascar flight. Night on board.
D 2. Antananarivo – Antsirabe Arrival at Ivato airport. Meet your guide at and have breakfast in town and then start driving to the south. We stop at Ambatolampy to discover how to make the local aluminum cooking-pot. Continuing towards Antsirabe.
D 3 & 4. Highlands hiking The walk is organized by a local association, a partnership with young Malagasy from Antsirabe. We stay in a traditional house equipped with dormitory and a dining room where we eat while we meet locals.
D 5. Antsirabe – Antoetra Heading to Zafimaniry countryside, ,we stop at Ambosityra to discover wood carvings and marquetery crafts workshop and shops. Continuation to Antoetra. Night in tents.
D 6 & 7. Zafimaniry Hike The main interest of the hike here is to meet locals, we get close contact with Zafimaniry people who are farmers and cattle breeders but they are before all wood sculptors.
D 8. Zafimaniry – Ranomafana We drive towards Ranomafana ( which means "hot water" ) thermal village. It is close to Ranomafana National Park gate.
D 9. Ranomafana - Anja We join the road 7 again and progress towards the south. The landscape is changing, we are leaving the highlands. Camp near Anja reserve after Ambalavao.
D 10 to 14. Anja Reserve - Andringitra and Tsaranoro valley Three days hiking happens around an exceptional mineral universe. We climb the second peak of Madagascar: Pic Boby (2658m). 4 nights in tents and 1 night in hotel.
D 15. Tsaranoro – Ranohira It is the road to the South, huge space world. From one mountain to another, crossing Ihorombe plateau, we reach Isalo National Park massif and it is the end of the stage, the sunset must be wonderful.
D 16 & 17. Isalo National Park We have two days to discover one of the best sites in Madagascar. We go and meet lemurs by the Canyons’ dry forest. The next day we head to the Piscine Naturelle (natural swimming pool) through the sandstone massif. Camping + overnight in hotel.
D 18. Ranohira – Tuléar Today we join the sea. On the way to Tuléar we make some stops to see Mahafaly tribe typical tombs, which are painted and decorated, also amazing carvings are erected on them. Have lunch in town and walk around the market.
D 19. Tuléar – Anakao Boat transfer to join Anakao. Afternoon free in Anakao, a Vezo fishing village situated south of Saint-Augustin. There are several possible sea activities there (excursion, snorkeling, diving with a Vezo fishing boat).
D 20. Leisure time Anakao You can make an outing with local fisherman towards Nosy Ve which is a nesting place for straw-tailed bird. You can try to go fishing and grill what you caught on the beach for youl lunch and comes with rice coconut sauce.
D 21. Anakao – Tuléar – Antananarivo (departure) Boat transfer to Tuléar to join the airport after a last swim.. Fly to Tana (1h15) connecting flight to Paris.
D 22. Paris Arrival of Air Madagascar flight.
