your day to day trip

 

 

D 1. Paris     Departure from Paris on Air Madagascar flight. Night on board.

D 2. Antananarivo    Meet your guide and transfer to the hotel.

Walk around the upper town which is the old town around the Queen’s Palace.

D 2. Antananarivo – Antsirabe   Start driving south. We make a short stop at Ambatolampy to discover how to make local aluminum cooking pot. Continuation to Antsirabe.

D 4. Antsirabe – Ranomafana     Walk around town before leaving. Visit artisans shops in Ambositra. Go on to Ranomafana towards the eastern rainforest. Arrive in late afternoon.

D 5. Ranomafana – Fianarantsoa   This is one of the best sites, which Madagascar rainforest can offer you. Walk in the forest to explore the National Park. Back on the road number 7, we join Fianarantsoa town.

D 6.  Fianarantsoa – Ranohira    Stroll around Fianarantsoa town and then head to the south. Visit of hand made Antemoro paper workshop. We drive through a dry and arid huge plateau, Ihorombe, and then we reach Ranohira village where Isalo National Park gate is. 

D 7.  Isalo National Park    Walk inside the massif with a light daypack at the back. This hike takes us through the most astonishing scenery to the ‘piscine naturelle’. Night in hotel.

D 8.  Ranohira – Tuléar – Ifaty    On the way to Tuléar we make some stops to see Mahafaly tribe typical tombs, which are painted and decorated, also amazing carvings are erected on them. Walk around the market and have lunch in town before we go to the beach at Ifaty.

D 9 & 10.  Ifaty lagoon stay    Day at leisure on the beach. Those who want the most of the sea can dive, snorkel, sail on a fisherman Vezo small boat, swim or just relax.

D 11. Tuléar – Fort Dauphin    Transfer to the airport and fly to Fort Dauphin (45mn). Fort Dauphin seems like at the back of the beyond because of the ocean immensity and the mountain range behind. Stroll around town and afternoon at leisure.

D 12. Fort Dauphin – Berenty Reserve   Drive to Berenty Reserve. A few stops on the way to look at triangle palms, Nepenthes (carnivorous plant)…Fascinating visit of the Reserve where you will find the famous lemur catta and his brother prophitecus named dancing lemur. 

D 13.  Berenty Reserve  – Fort Dauphin    Visit of Antandroy Art and people customs museum allows visitors to discover locals cultural traditions. Head back to Fort Dauphin.

D 14. Fort Dauphin – Antananarivo (departure)    Short stroll around and then transfer to the airport, fly to Tana (1h15) and connecting flight to Paris.

D 15.  Paris   Air Madagascar flight arrival.
