your day to day trip

D 1. Paris    Departure from Paris on Air Madagascar flight. Night on board.  

D 2. Antananarivo – Antsirabe   Arrival at Ivato airport. Meet your guide at and have breakfast in town and then start driving to the south. We stop at Ambatolampy to discover how to make the local aluminum cooking-pot. Continuing towards Antsirabe.

D 3. Highlands hike   The walk is organized by a local association, a partnership with young guides from Antsirabe, the incomings are partly donated to local villagers, supply some common equipments and improve para-agricultural activities. Continuation towards Manandona village where we stay in a traditional villagers big house.

D 4. Antsirabe – Fianarantsoa    We stay on the road number 7 and progress towards the south.
We walk around Ambositra town and lunch in a restaurant.  Go on towards Fianarantsoa. Arrival at the end of the afternoon.

D 5.  East coast train journey   To move gradually to the Indian Ocean the train passes through the big Eastern rainforest with its luxuriant vegetation. At each stops, there are many people, itinerant sellers sell bananas, fritters, grilled chickens. You get to Manakara station at about 5p.m....may be!

D 6. Outing on the Canal des Pangalanes    Transfer to the landing stage where we embark on a big local canoe along the Canal des Pangalanes heading to the south. The sea is there, we stay on the beach for a picnic lunch, relaxation and swimming.

D 7 to 10. Clove coast – Manakara – Fort Dauphin    We are the first tour company who took this eastern coast road to Fort Dauphin. There are: 10 car ferries to cross on, many villages, and several plantations and nice camping by the beach. 

D 11. Lokaro bay   Relaxation day in this wonderful place, white sand beach, turquoise water with brown rocks islands around and forest behind, a real postcard. Night in camping. 

D 12.  Lokaro bay– Fort Dauphin – Andohahela Park   We pass at Fort Dauphin town. Drive to Andohahela Park in the afternoon,  we are at Androy region : the Spine Country! Night in camping. 

D 13.  Andohahela hike    The richness of the park is amazing and we will try to explore its mystery. A park guide comes with us during the hike. Night in camping. 

D 14 & 15. Andohahela – Betroka – Ambalavao    We need two days stages to join the road number 7 by Ihosy. We pass through Madagascar southern typical landscape with special vegetation: euphorbia, aloe and raketa are the rare plants which can grow in such environment. Nights on camping. 

D 16.  Anja « Granit » hike    Anja is a small reserve run by villagers. We try to see some groups of lemurs live in a nice forest at the bottom of a huge granite rock blocks.

D 17. Ambalavao – Ambositra    We stop at Ambalavao to see Antemoro artisanal paper workshop and then visit craftsmen shops at Ambositra after lunch. 

D 18. Ambositra – Antananarivo (departure)    We drive up north to Tana in the afternoon after a short visit of Antsirabe.  Visit of the handcrafts market.  Transfer to the airport and fly to Paris.

D 19. Paris  Air Madagascar flight arrival.
