your day to day trip

 

D 1.  Paris    Departure from Paris on Air Madagascar flight. Night on board.

D 2.  Antananarivo – Antsirabe      Arrival at Ivato airport. Meet your guide at and have breakfast in town and then start driving to the south. We stop at Ambatolampy to discover how to make the local aluminum cooking-pot. Continuing towards Antsirabe.

D 3 & 4.  Highlands hiking    The walk is organized by a local association, a partnership with young Malagasy from Antsirabe. We stay in a traditional house equipped with dormitory and a dining room where we eat while we meet locals.

D 5.  Antsirabe – Fianarantsoa    We stay on the road number 7 and progress towards the south.
We walk around Ambositra town and lunch in a restaurant.  Go on towards Fianarantsoa. Arrival at the end of the afternoon.

D 6.  Fianarantsoa – Andringitra National Park  A short break at Ambalavao to see the hand-made Antemoro paper workshop. We drive to Andringitra National Park gateway. End the route with a 2 km walk is recommended.

D 7 & 8.   Andringitra with Pic Boby    From Ambalamanandray village, which is our first approach of this mountain mass, we pass Antanifotsy, which is our starting point for Pic Boby ascent, it is the highest point of the region but the second peak of Madagascar: 2658m. Night in tents.

D 9.  Gîte of Andringitra – Ranohira    It is the road to the South, huge space world.
From one mountain to another, we reach Isalo National Park massif and it is the end of the stage after a long drive, the sunset must be wonderful. Night in tents.

D 10 & 11.  Isalo National Park    We have two days to discover one of the best sites in Madagascar. We go and meet lemurs by the Canyons’ dry forest.
The next day we head to the Piscine Naturelle (natural swimming pool) through the sandstone massif. Camping + overnight in hotel.

D 12.  Ranohira – Tuléar – Ifaty    Today we join the sea. On the way to Tuléar we make some stops to see Mahafaly tribe typical tombs, which are painted and decorated, also amazing carvings are erected on them. Walk around the market and have lunch in town before heading north to ifaty.

D 13.  Ifaty lagoon stay   Leisure day on the beach. Several activities are possible from the hotel. Sea options are: diving, snorkelling, outing with local fishers Vezo on their small fishing boat, swimming or just relax on the beach.

D 14.  Ifaty – Tuléar – Antananarivo (departure)   After breakfast and a last swimming, transfer to the airport.  Fly to Tana and connecting flight to Paris. 

D 15.  Paris    Arrival of Air Madagascar flight.
