your day to day trip
D 1. Paris Departure from Paris on Air Madagascar flight. Night on board.
D 2. Antananarivo – Tuléar - Ifaty Arrival at Ivato airport. Connecting flight to Tuléar (1h15). Your guide welcomes you at Tuléar airport. Afternoon at leisure by the seaside facing the prettiest lagoon of Madagascar .
D 3. Ifaty lagoon stay Leisure day on the beach. Several activities are possible from the hotel. Sea options are : diving, snorkelling, outing with local fishers Vezo on their small fishing boat, swimming or just relax on the beach.
D 4. Ifaty – Tuléar – Ranohira We leave the Mozambic Channel and head inland to Ranohira, by National Parc gate. We cross huge plains with satrana palms before we reach Isalo ruin form mountain mass.
D 5. Isalo National Park We join the foothill by car. Walk inside the massif with a light daypack at the back.
This hike takes us through the most astonishing scenery to the ‘piscine aturelle’. Walk towards surrounding summits gives beautiful view.
D 6. Ranohira - Fianarantsoa After crossing arid and desolated huge Ihorombe plateau, we are going to meet Malagasy highlands. We visit Antemoro artisanal paper workshop at Ambalavao. Continuation to Fianarantsoa.
D 7. Fianarantsoa - Antsirabe We stay on the road 7 heading north. We visit Zafimaniry craftsmen workshop and some shops at Ambositra looking for some carvings and marquetery. Walk around town and then carry on up to Antsirabe.
D 8. Antsirabe – Antananarivo We take our time for a short city tour. We stop at Ambatolampy to discover how to make the local aluminum cooking-pot, which models all the population use at home. Continuation to the Capital.
D 9. Antananarivo – Perinet National Park We drive to Perinet. It is one of the main road which links Tamatave and Tana. We visite butterfly farm where we meet an impressive concentration of chameleon, gecko, lezard and butterfly of course. Then we go East.
D 10. Périnet National Park – Tamatave We go to the forest with a local guide, it’s there we meet the largest lemur Indri-Indri with a fascinating family group behaviour. The flora is very interesting. Then we go on to Tamatave.
D 11. Tamatave – Ste Marie Breakfast at the hotel and then fly to Ste Marie (25 mn). Here you are on hidden Indian Ocean paradise. Ste Marie is a quiet and peaceful place, with naturally white sand and coconut palms.
D 12 & 13. Ste Marie Days at leisure, you are free to choose your activity, the best way to move around is by bicycle or motor bike. You can rent out a mountain bike to go east coast, visit pirate graveyards or just ride along the beach and villages. You can go to “Ile aux Nattes” at the very south of Ste Marie.
D 14. Sainte Marie – Antananarivo (departure) Hotel staff drives you to the airport. Fly to Antananarivo and connecting flight to Paris.
D 15. Paris Air Madagascar flight arrival.
