your day-to-day trip

 

D 1.  Paris    Departure from Paris on Air Madagascar flight. Night on board.

D 2.  Antananarivo – Perinet    Have breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Perinet. One of the main roads of the country, it is relying the most important sea port in Toamasina and the capital Antananarivo. We stop at the butterfly farm to see an amazing concentration of chameleon, gecko, leaf tailed gecko and butterfly of course. Then go on east.

D 3.   Horseriding in Perinet

D 4. Périnet – Antsirabe    Visit of the Reserve and then head to Antsirabe via Tana. Typical ricefields and villages of the highland draw the landscape. We stop at Ambatolampy to discover how to make the local aluminum cooking-pot.

D 5 & 6. Horseriding around Antsirabe

D 7.  Antsirabe – Fianarantsoa    We keep going on national number 7 and progress towards the south.
We walk around Ambositra town and have lunch in local restaurant. We continue to Fianarantsoa in the afternooni.

D 8.  Fianarantsoa – Ranohira    We leave the highlands soon. Get a short stop. 

at Ambalavao to see the hand-made Antemoro paper workshop. We pass by Ihosy small town before we get through a dry and arid huge plateau, Ihorombe, and then we reach Ranohira village where Isalo National Park gate is.

D 9 & 10. Horseriding in Isalo

D 11.  Ranohira – Tuléar – Ifaty    We go on south until we reach the sea. On the way to Tuléar we make some stops to see Mahafaly tribe typical tombs, which are painted and decorated, also amazing carvings are erected on them. Walk around the market and have lunch in town before we go to the beach at Ifaty.

D 12. Horseriding in Ifaty

D 13. Ifaty  Day at leisure on the beach     Those who want the most of the sea can dive, snorkel, sail on a fisherman Vezo small boat, swim or just relax. Those who are more courageous can walk to the spiny forest to discover this strange vegetation of the south: euphorbia, baobab, didiéracée, aloe….
Dinner and night at the hotel by the seaside.

D 14. Ifaty – Tuléar – Antananarivo (departure)    After breakfast and a last swimming, transfer to the airport. Fly to Antananarivo and then connecting flight to Paris.

D 15.  Paris    Air Madagascar flight arrival.
