your day to day trip
D 1. Paris Departure from Paris on Air Madagascar flight. Night on board.
D 2. Antananarivo – Morondava Arrival in Antananarivo. Welcome and fly to Morondava (1h05). Meet your guide and then relax in the afternoon on the seaside.
D 3. Morondava – Bekopaka We are heading north and drive on an uncomfortable but the only land track to Bekopaka. We go across Tsiribihina and Manambolo Rivers by a small car ferry before we arrive at Bekopaka village. Night in tents.
D 4 & 5. Bemaraha National Park - Grand Tsingy It is a sanctuary of nature as a world heritage by Unesco, Tsingy of Bemaraha is the largest protected area of the Island. This day is an opportunity to discover the most amazing site with a local guide. Camping.
D 6. Bemaraha - Kirindy Reserve We take the same track on the way back to Kirindy. This dry forest has the largest number of lemurs’ species of the Island where we try to find some. There are many nocturnal animals to spot at night. Night in a bush campsite.
D 7. Kirindy - Morondava Seven species of lemurs live together in this area such as Sifaka, the dancing lemur. Picnic lunch in the forest. Drive to Morondava, we pass through the famous “Allée des Baobabs”. Settle down in bungalows by the seaside.
D 8. Morondava – Antananarivo – Périnet National Park Fly to Tana and then drive east towards Périnet National park. Visit of the butterfly farm at Mandraka foothill on the way. Arrive in Périnet in the afternoon.
D 9. Périnet – Canal des Pangalanes Walk in the forest to meet the biggest lemur Indri Indri. There are also several medicinal plants. Then drive to Manambato where a launch takes us on the Canal des Pangalanes to Ankany’ny Nofy.
D 10. Ankanin’ny Nofy – Tamatave Visit of Palmarium reserve to see more lemurs and then go on north, we might have stops in some fisherman villages along the canal. We reach Toamasina river port.
D 11. Tamatave – Soanierana Ivongo – Ste Marie We drive north along east coast towards Soanierana Ivongo village. Boat transfer to Ste Marie. Here you are on hidden Indian Ocean paradise. Ste Marie is a quiet and peaceful place, with naturally some white sand and coconut palms.
D 12 & 13. Ste Marie stay Days at leisure, you are free to chose your activity; the best way to move around is by bicycle or motor bike. You can rent out a mountain bike to go east coast, visit pirate graveyards or just ride along the beach and villages. You can go to “Ile aux Nattes” at the very south of Ste Marie.
D 14. Ste Marie - Antananarivo – Paris (departure) Hotel staff drives you to the airport. Fly to Tana and connecting flight to Paris.
D 15. Paris Air Madagascar flight arrival.
