your day to day trip

D 1.  Paris   Departure from Paris on Air Madagascar flight. Night on board.

D 2.  Antananarivo – Antsirabe   Arrival at Ivato airport. Meet your guide at and have breakfast in town and then start driving to the south. We stop at Ambatolampy to discover how to make the local aluminum cooking-pot. Continuing towards Antsirabe.

D 3.  Antsirabe – Miandrivazo -  Tsiribihina River   We are in the mid west.
Masiakampy, our barge and the crew are waiting for us to go down the River. Lunch on board. We leave the river bank straight and by the river meanders we run into the bush.

D 4.  Descent of Tsiribihina River   It is a large and quiet river with a relaxing and peaceful mood. Passengers can move around, play cards, read books or go up to the solarium roof for a sunbathing … food is excellent on board. Camping by the river.

D 5.  Tsiribihina River - Bekopaka    We continue the descent and lunch on board.
We disembark head towards Manambolo River by a rough track. We reach Bekopaka at the end of the day and camp straight. 

D 6 & 7.  Bemaraha National Park, Tsingy   It is a sanctuary of nature as a world heritage by Unesco, Tsingy of Bemaraha is the largest protected area of the Island. This day is an opportunity to discover the most amazing site with a local guide. Camping. 

D 8.  Bekopaka  - Morondava    Drive to Morondava and stop at the famous ‘Allée des Baobabs’ (andansonia grandidieri).  Night in bungalows.

D 9.  Morondava - Manja    A very long driving day, a rough and sandy track by Manja town. We pass through baobab forest and a few villages. Picnic lunch on the way. Sleep in tent.

D 10.   Manja - Ifaty     Keep driving south on track to reach Ifaty village, we cross Mangoky River on a ferry by Bevoay. Picnic lunch on the way. Night in bungalows by the beach.

D 11. Ifaty    A leisure day on the seaside. Ifaty has the most beautiful lagoon of Madagascar! We have time for the beach, swimming, diving, excursion on a fishing boat or meet locals. Night in the hotel.

D 12. Tuléar – Ranohira     Head to Tuléar. Discover amazing Mahafaly tombs on the way. Meet guide and porteurs at Ranohira for Isalo National Park hike. Night in tents. 

D 13 & 14. Isalo National Park    Hike into the Park, walk across grassland plain to the foothill and go on until the ‘piscine naturelle’.

D 15.  Ranohira – Fianarantsoa   Drive through Ihorombe plateau. Visit Ambalavao town. We arrive at fianarantsoa and go on the hotel next to a tea plantation by Sahambavy Lake.

D 16.   Fianarantsoa - Antsirabe    Always on the National 7 we let us progress northward, Arrive at Ambositra we go round the shops and visit Zafimaniry artisans to look for a piece of carved wood or finely done square box marquetry. Walk around town and continue to Antsirabe.

D 17.  Antsirabe – Antananarivo (departure)    Antsirabe city tour with its lapidary workshops for gemstones. Reach Tana in the afternoon and stroll around the crafts market for a few souvenirs. Transfer to the airport and fly to Paris with Air Madagascar in the evening.
