	On the road... Your guides The person who accompanies you the mission to make you loving his country. She is the link between you and the people, it she will introduce you to the malagasy culture and customs. She will do his best to make you discover "La Grande Ile". The Malagasy Tours team includes french and english speaking malagasy guides and escorts with strong knowledge of the visited areas. They will be there throughout your stay in Madagascar (except some times during the "sea” part at Ifaty, Ste Marie and Nosy Be). They have all got training in guiding, ecotourism, language, mechanics and first aid. Vehicles Our "fleet" consists of several vehicles 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser VX & GX and minibuses Mercedes Sprinter. The tours are done by minibus or car Depending on the destination, some trips will be always done with 4x4 vehicle. An experienced driver is still in command of the "machine". Meals Some of our trips are planned on Bed and Breakfast basis, to allow everyone the freedom to choose their meals. During camping tours, trekking and activities of the programs, all meals are included. Your guide is also a cook. He is the one who manages the catering and the meal. Camping Campgrounds as we have in Europe do not exist here.. The camps are "wild", under the stars of the southern sky... in the bush. Our sites are chosen with great care. The beauty of the place, its proximity to surface water (river, lake, sea) are emphasized. We provide spacious 3 pax igloo tents for two people (Ferrino / Svalbard with nets and double entry), and a large mess tent normally complete the equipment. We also offer a comfortable foam mattress. We do not provide the sleeping bag. During the trek The pace of walking depends on the capacity of each. Most treks involve nights in camping. The porterage is provided by a team of porters. You only carry your personal belongings for the day. In the parks All national parks and nature reserves of the country can be visited on foot. The main attraction of these sites is firstly animal we go, day and night to see some of the lemurs, birds, insects, but also flowers and plants. The beauty of wild places, the originality of landscapes are some unforgettable moments for the traveler. During these visits, we are always accompanied by local guides and trackers. Budget The currency is the Ariary (Ar) : Using credit cards is restricted. The Euro is the most common currency in the island. Telephone Madagascar is equipped for mobile phone. Check with your provider. Calling cards are on sale throughout the country and allow contact abroad from the many telephone booths.
