This is a circuit totally new team that Malagasy Tours
is pleased to invite you.
3 trekking Discovery to apprehend Madagascar!

A hike of 2 days in the deep Madagascar to meet those peasants
in the region of Antsirabe. This is a rural development
in collaboration with a local association.
For our second trek (2 days), we'll summit the peak Boby at 2 658 m.
Then we will visit (2 days) the Parc de l'Isalo, ruiniform massive steep cliffs and deep canyons, with its forests inhabited by lemurs
and waterways clear.
Our tour ends with a relaxing stay on the seafront in Tuléar.

J 1. Sunday Departure from Paris
Vol Air Madagascar - night aboard

J 2. Monday Antananarivo - Antsirabe (170 km + / - 3h)
Arrival in Tana. Reception at the airport by your guide who will accompany you throughout this journey. Relax and have lunch at the restaurant on the Upper Town.
Afternoon route Antsirabe.
Dinner and overnight at the Residence CAMELIA (or equivalent)

J 3 & 4. Tuesday & Wednesday The rando High Lands
(5 / 6 hours walking / day)
Why Highlands? Simply because it is the emblematic landscape of Madagascar. A landscape unlike any other, because of hills and ridge lines, villages clinging to the sides of brick houses with high roofs, rice fields and valleys in these colors: red, ocher, beige. ..
Hiking? from village to village, in cases of boxes to meet the farmers, artisans, blacksmiths.
For our accommodation, we will be welcomed by the villagers in large renovated traditional houses. They are comfortable, equipped with beds (small dormitories), toilets, showers and dining room where we take our meals come to know our guests.
These walks are conducted in collaboration with a youth association malgaches Antsirabe. This is meant to be a "sustainable" income is in part distributed to villages. We contribute to the development of the region: to support community facilities, development of para-agricultural activities.

J 5. Thursday Antsirabe - Fianarantsoa (220 km + / - 5h30)
We do not leave the highlands! Ambositra descent on visits to shops and artisans Zafimaniry. We "chinon" in search of the piece of wood carved or inlaid square so finely crafted. Lunch in a small local restaurant.
Check-in Fianarantsoa. Dinner and overnight at SOAFIA (or equivalent).

J 6. Friday Fianarantsoa - Parc National de l'Andringitra (150 km + / - 5h)
We soon leave the highlands to the south, views and architecture typical of Madagascar.
Crossing Fianarantsoa. Ambalavao A visit to the craft of paper Antemoro.
Picnic lunch on the trail of the park.
Out of the village, the large blocks of granite, typical of the region, are beginning to draw the landscape. Night in lodging Ambalamanandray

J 7 & 8. Saturday & Sunday Massif de l'Andringitra and Pic Boby (5/6h walk / day)
From the village of Ambalamanandray first approach of the massif. We earn Antanifotsy point of departure for the ascent of Pic Boby, the culmination of the region and 2nd of Madagascar: 2 658 m.
Six plant communities are represented here, the researchers listed in this area a fabulous richness 20 species of mammals including 4 endemic to mass and 62 species of birds. The strangest plants of the area are Kalanchoe, aloe and Pachypodium. The plain is rich in terrestrial orchids.
The granite domes of these gigantic mountains are narrow valleys with a show surprising, especially at sunrise and sunset.
The nights are to bivouac. (Allow a good sleeping bag, a warm jacket, walking shoes)

J 9. Monday Ambalamanandray - Ranohira (290 km + / - 6h)
We continue our descent by car to the south. We take the time to stop Ihosy, the last village in the typical architecture of the highlands. Across the great plain of Horombe.
Camping in Ranohira is at the gates of the park of Isalo.

J 10 & 11. Tuesday & Wednesday Isalo National Park (4/5h walk per day)
2 days to discover the most beautiful sites in Madagascar.
We enter the park on foot to cross the plain towards the cliff. Arriving at the canyon for lunch. Walk inside the walled canyons and dizzying dry forest in the afternoon to meet the lemur catta and propithéque of Verreaux (the lemur dancer).
J 10 - Camping under the mango trees.
The next day we reach the natural pool (6 hours of walking) through the mountains. Picnic on the spot.
Swimming and relaxing. Back in the village at night.
J 11 - Dinner and overnight at the hotel ISALO RANCH (or equivalent)

J 12. Thursday Ranohira - Ifaty (280 km + / - 7 am)
The sea route to the Mozambique Channel is visible well before reaching Tuléar. En route stops at small Mahafaly tombs, so beautifully decorated, and surprisingly erected wooden sculptures.
Lunch at the restaurant and walk around the market, before we go to the beach Ifaty.
Dinner and overnight stay at the beach (or equivalent) by the sea

J 13. Friday Ifaty
Free days on the beach. For those who want to enjoy the sea: diving, canoe ride with the fishermen Vezos, swimming or just lazing around. For the more courageous, trek inland to discover the vegetation of southern strange: Euphorbia, Baobab, didiéracées, aloe ... the kings are thorny.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel the beach (or equivalent)

J 14. Saturday Tuléar - Antananarivo (departure)
Road to the airport of Tuléar. Flight (1h40) to Tana (the next scheduled flight time or lunch at Tuléar Tana)
Home and walk to traditional market (if flight schedules permitting). Flight to Paris in the evening.

		Ambositra Mecca Zafimaniry artisans known for their talented woodcarvers (inlay and cabinetry). The architecture is typical of cases in the villages of the region.

		Isalo National Park The massif of Isalo ruiniform the lunar landscape is composed of sandstone layers, and marked by deep canyons can measure several kilometers in length.
