DETAILED ROUTE

From Tulear on the Mozambique Channel to the island of Sainte Marie on the Indian Ocean, south of Grand dry and arid in the east through lush uplands to the architecture so typical, this circuit offers a wide range of diversity in Madagascar. The National Parks and Isalo Périnet, small easy steps and residence resort, lively villages and meetings with a population are engaging in the program.

J 1. Sunday Departure from Paris
Flight on Air Madagascar - night on board.

J 2. Monday Antananarivo - Tuléar - Ifaty
Check Air Madagascar flight. Reception at the airport. Transfer to domestic departures.
Flight (1h15) to Tuléar (after the scheduled flight time, lunch or Tana, either Tuléar). Home to Tuléar, transfer to Ifaty along one of the most beautiful lagoons in the country.
Overnight at the Hotel de la Plage (or equivalent).

NB: Depending on the domestic flight schedule, the program of the day may be changed.

J 3. Tuesday Ifaty
Day free in Ifaty. Several activities are available from our hotel. The sea and the beach are calling for the relaxation and lazy but a boat ride with the fishermen Vezos these nomads of the ocean, you will leave a great memory. Near your hotel, a diving club offers all sorts of water activities (snorkeling or diving bottle baptism at sea). Do not miss the early morning or late in the day: small hike in the land, right behind your hotel, to enable us to discover and appreciate the thorny forests of the south.

J 4. Wednesday Ifaty - Tuléar - Ranohira (280 km + / - 6h)
We leave the Mozambique Channel to enter the land until Ranohira, near National Park. Visit of the town and its market shellfish.
We will stop to contemplate the Mahafaly tombs.
We cross the broad plains hérissées palm Lataniers and enter the massive ruiniform of Isalo.
Overnight at the hotel Isalo Ranch (or equivalent).

J 5. Thursday Isalo National Park (+ / - 4 hours walk)
Breakfast at the hotel, then departure by car to the foot of the cliff. With a small bag on his shoulder, walking in the massif of Isalo. This short walk (45 min) leads us, through a landscape of the most astonishing, the natural pool. The more courageous to go, with the guides of the park to discover the range described as ruiniform. A picnic is held in the forest Tapia.

J 6. Friday Ranohira - Fianarantsoa (290 km + / - 7 am)
We leave the Massif de l'Isalo to cross the plate Horombe with its vast herds of zebu led by shepherds Bara.
The Massif de l'Andringitra extends south, we see the peak Boby (the second summit of the country: 2 658 m), we arrive at Ambalavao to visit the factory craft paper Antemoro. The paper plant was introduced to Madagascar in the fifteenth century by the Arabs and is still produced in the same process by this small shop Ambalavao. We arrive in Fianarantsoa in the afternoon.

J 7. Saturday Fianarantsoa - Antsirabe (240 km + / - 5h)
Through the Hauts Plateaux Betsileo country, the villages and moved among hills and rice fields, road Ambositra where we visit the shops carvings Zafimaniry artisans. Continuation to Antsirabe.

J 8. Sunday Antsirabe - Antananarivo (170 km + / - 3h)

Tana road in the mountains along the Ankaratra. Typical of the Hauts Plateaux: rice fields, hills, forests and eucalyptus trees. Continue to Tana.

J 9. Monday Antananarivo - Périnet Park (150 km + / - 3h)
Route to the National Park Périnet.
Visit the butterfly farm at Mandrake. Here we see an impressive concentration of chameleons, geckos, lizards and butterflies, of course. Continue to the east.
Check in late afternoon in the village of Andasibe.
Overnight in pretty bungalows on the outskirts of the forest at the hotel Feony'ala (or equivalent).

J 10. Tuesday Périnet Park - Tamatave (+ / - 3 hours walk 200 km + /-5h)
After breakfast and, accompanied by park guides, hiking in the forest to discover the site. The proximity of Tana in fact the most visited park in the country. It is in this region that we find the Indri-indri, the largest of the lemurs. His behavior as a group is exciting, your guide will introduce you to its mores. Many other species share the site, such as gray bamboo lemur (Hapalemur griseus), the avahi (Avahi laniger) etc.
The flora of this park is quite interesting. There are several varieties of medicinal plants. Then, again easterly route Tamatave Ravinala up.

J 11. Wednesday Tamatave - Sainte Marie

J 12 et 13. Thursday and Friday Sainte Marie
We are in one of those little paradises like the Indian Ocean known hide. 		Antsirabe Antsirabe is a town very important industrial, agricultural, and also the capital of the "Vichy" Malagasy and "rickshaws", with about 5 000 plying in the city.


		Ifaty (Tulear) One of the most beautiful lagoons in the country with its coral reef known for its beauty. In addition to all the water activities (plongée. ..) you can also visit the back country and its rich vegetation dry and baobabs didiéracés.
