DETAILED ROUTE

Discovery of the North Island with a visit to the Montagne d'Ambre of wildlife and vegetation quite surprisingly, the Windsor Castle and the Bay Courier. Hiking in the Reserve Special Ankarana Tsingy to ride with, Nosy Komba, the road to Majunga Diego, visit to the region of Mahajanga and lemurs in the National Park Ankarafantsika.

D 1. Sunday Departure from Paris
Flight on Air Madagascar - night on board. .

D 2. Monday Antananarivo - Diego Suarez
Check Air Madagascar flight. Reception at the airport. Flight (1h15) to Diego.
Your guide awaits you at the airport. Come see this huge bay of Diego Suarez said that on one of the most beautiful in the world! Along its beaches and mangroves, pass the Sugar Loaf to reach the village of Ramena, not far from the pass and the Indian Ocean. Lunch at restaurant on the beach. Swimming and relaxing.
Route to Joffreville, on the foothills of the Montagne d'Ambre.
Dinner and overnight in the pretty bungalows NATURE LODGE (or equivalent).

D 3. Tuesday Montagne d'Ambre National Park (+ / -3 to 5 hours walk)
We cross the village of Joffreville and take the track to the gates of the Montagne d'Ambre National Park. Visit the park by the botanical trail to the great waterfall. The flora of the rainforest is lush and varied.
We meet the lemur coronatus lemur fulvus and Sanford, the elegant galidie (galidia elegans dambrensis).
For the more courageous descent into the village and then walk to the hotel, about 8 km.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel NATURE LODGE.

D 4. Wednesday Windsor Castle and Bay Courier
Hiking with a view. We are now climbing the Windsor Castle, a small mountain of only 300 meters and a few stuck between Diego Bay and the Indian Ocean. From the summit, we have a wonderful panorama across this site and the surrounding islands. Lunch picnic and swimming in the Bay Courier.

D 5. Thursday Joffreville- Red Tsingy - Ankarana
We leave the village for Joffreville Ankarana. Then we turn on the way to take a look at Red Tsingy. The geological history of this training is the same as that of the Tsingy of Ankarana, but with a few thousand years difference. The others are those calcareous soil are crumbly. Lunch picnic.
We reach the camp Mahamasina where we spend the evening and lodge in huts villageoises simple but comfortable with friendly atmosphere.

D 6. Friday The Tsingy of Ankarana
After breakfast, walk to visit the reserve.
The ability of participants we will be to Tsingy Tsingy RARY or MEVA or for the brave to the great tsingy and Green Lake.
Picnic on the spot. Some lemurs certainly come visit us.
We return to our cases and Mahamasina village for the night.

D 7. Saturday Ankarana - Ankify - Nosy Komba (170 km + 20 min by boat)
We leave the Reserve Ankarana for us heading south.
We stop in plantations of coffee, cocoa and ylang ylang, these cultures are the riches of the region with cashew and a little further east vanilla. Nature here is generous. Lunch at the port of embarkation and Ankify on a speedboat to Nosy Komba.
Dinner and overnight at hotel FLORALIES (or equivalent) .

D 8. Sunday Nosy Komba
Free day on the small island of Nosy Komba.
From here you can go on Nosy Tanikely to make snorkeling in one of 4 sub-marine parks in Madagascar, a real aquarium. You'll walk in the villages and certainly meet macaco lemurs who live behind the boxes.
Night at HOTEL FLOWER.

D 9. Monday Nosy Komba - Antsohihy (200 km + / - 4 hours drive)
Back on Grande Terre and on to the south. Route Antsohihy up.
We take the time to stop by the sea side Maromandia.
Installation in a modest hotel in the city of Antsohihy.

D 10. Tuesday Antsohihy - Ankarafantsika Park (Km 300 + / - 6 hours drive)
We have waited before you offer this route to the west that tar is made because the track that we had so far was really in-fer-ing! Potholes, dust, heat. The trail without end.
Today is a beautiful ribbon of asphalt that leads to Ankarafantsika via Ambondromamy. Arrival in the afternoon. We will dine in the small village restaurant. Night in small bungalows.

D 11. Wednesday Ankarafantsika Park - Mahajanga (+ /-3h walk + 100 km)
Accompanied by a guide of the park is from the station Ampijiroa forest that we hike for a discovery. Here is the lemur Sifaka is king. We are going to find him in this dry forest. En route we will see large Lavaka, this geological formation due to erosion. Our walk is quiet and will end with a tour boat on the lake of the forest station to discover the birds of the region. Mahajanga way to end the day.
Overnight at the hotel COCO LODGE (or equivalent).

D 12. Thursday Mahajanga - Katsepy
In the morning we walk in the city of Majunga called "city of flowers". Here, the ambience, architecture, people and colors remind you of the countries of Arabia. We take the ferry across the estuary and go to the small village of Katsepy.
Lunch picnic on the beach. Afternoon relaxation.
Evening stroll on the seafront
Dinner at restaurant and overnight stay COCO LODGE. .

D 13. Friday Mahajanga - Antananarivo (420 km + / - 8 hours drive)
Our stage is long to reach the capital, but the road is beautiful, because there is nothing!
It is the vast plateau of Tampoketsa, an uninhabited area, where it is uncultivable either very hot or very windy. Rather inhospitable area but very beautiful. Arrival at the end of day in Antananarivo.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel IVOTEL (or equivalent).

D 14. Saturday Antananarivo - Departure for Paris
Walk through the alleys and stairways. We organize a small urban trek, the Avenue of Independence until the Haute Ville, the Palais de la Reine and the point of view. Lunch at restaurant. We descend on foot to the stadium district Anosy with its lake and its flower market.
Visit the craft market in the Dike, the wealth of local produce will surprise you: tablecloths and embroidered shirts, leather and baskets, semi-precious stone, chessboards and lonely, musical instruments and toys made of wood or metal.
Transfer to the airport late in the day. Air Madagascar flight to Paris in the evening. .

D 15. Sunday morning Arrival in Paris.
